This work aims to report the lessons learned and challenges in the realization of the Bridge for Innovation event, turn your idea into technological innovation with UFPE, as well as the experiences with the leadership of the extension activity. For the development of the work, we used the research-action methodology, which is developed jointly with the action analyzed in which both researchers and participants of the action, interact in a participatory and cooperative way with the process. As a result, the event enabled those involved to develop skills regarding project organization and management, knowledge about the main topics that were addressed at the event and network with the market, concluding that extension activities bring benefits both to the relationship between university and society and to its construction agents.
