Resumo: The present paper is the fruit of the completed research: "Decolonization of curricula and minds at school and university: the contributions of the Africa Project at UNILAB - ANU in the Baturité Massif - Ceará (2018-2019)". This article aims to present the university extension project for the decolonization of curricula and minds, for the educational practice, as well as in the training of the fellows of the PETHL of UNILAB. The study was qualitative in nature, bibliographic and documental, using as instrument of data collection a questionnaire applied to 10 (ten) fellows who participated in the actions. It was necessary to revisit the theoretical reference approaching the decolonization of minds, based on the knowledge of Amílcar Cabral and Paulo Freire. We conclude that the project has been demystifying stereotypes about Africa, and has promoted re-education from a decolonial perspective, as a bridge to other ways of knowing, being, living, coexisting, and learning.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar el proyecto de extensión universitaria para la descolonización de currículos y mentes, para la práctica educativa, así como en la formación de los becarios del PETHL de la UNILAB. El estudio fue de naturaleza cualitativa, bibliográfica y documental, utilizando como instrumento de recolección de datos un cuestionario aplicado a 10 (diez) becarios que participaron de las acciones. Fue necesario retomar el referencial teórico que aborda la descolonización de las mentes, a partir de los saberes de Amílcar Cabral y Paulo Freire. Concluimos que el proyecto ha venido desmitificando estereotipos sobre África, y ha promovido la reeducación desde una perspectiva decolonial, como puente hacia otras formas de saber, ser, vivir, convivir y aprender.O presente trabalho é fruto da pesquisa concluída: “Descolonização dos currículos e das mentes na escola e na universidade: as contribuições do Projeto África na UNILAB - ANU no Maciço de Baturité - Ceará (2018-2019)”. Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o projeto de extensão universitária para a descolonização dos currículos e das mentes, para a prática educativa, bem como na formação dos bolsistas do PETHL da UNILAB. O estudo foi de natureza qualitativa, de cunho bibliográfico e documental, utilizando como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionário aplicado a 10 (dez) bolsistas, que participaram das ações. Fez-se necessário revisitar referencial teórico abordando a descolonização das mentes, com base nos saberes de Amílcar Cabral e Paulo Freire.
