Resumo: | The phytophysiognomies of deciduous forest in the Southern Espinhaço are quite unknown regarding its phytogeography, especially the floristic composition of these areas. Therefore, it is important and necessary to understand the existing flora in these forests. Were assessed in this work were assessed the changes in the floristic composition and structure of vegetation in three fragments of deciduous forest on limestone outcrops in the Serra of Cipó, located in the central region of Minas Gerais, along with the gradient of ecological succession, assessing the floristic composition in the initial, intermediate and late successional stages. The goal was to inventory the floristic composition of woody and regenerating strata and analyze the structural parameters of the forest community, and as well to characterize and comparison of the studied sites. For sampling were identified and inventoried every shrub and tree occurring on 9 tranches of 50m in length and 20m width. The occurring woody plants in stratum regenerating vegetation were also inventoried. A total of 1.222 individuals distributed among 182 species were sampled in the two strata. There was variation in the structure and composition of flora due to abiotic factors and significant floristic similarity between the studied strata. In relation to phytogeography, most species have a center of origin in the Atlantic forests, indicating that this vegetation is a forest enclave what remains of expansion and retraction of the cerrado and caatinga in the Quaternary period. Most of the species have very little information about its biology, which consolidates the status of neglect of dry forests in the world. The results show that the floristic composition allows us to understand how vegetation regenerates itself in space and time and the patterns and ecological processes the structure and composition of trees and shrubs in community forest enclaves studied. |
