DOI: não consta, por isso foi disponibilizado o link de acesso.Este artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa sobre as representações de escola em crianças na educação infantil. Os dados analisados referem-se às ideias de crianças entre 5 e 6 anos de idade, que frequentam um ambiente escolar construtivista, sobre a escola. O método utilizado na pesquisa foi o Método Clínico, e os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista clínica. Os dados obtidos sofreram análise qualitativa e as respostas dos sujeitos agrupadas em subcategorias. Os resultados demonstram que as crianças compreendem a escola a partir dos aspectos que podem ser observados diretamente no contexto escolar. Suas explicações estão baseadas no que tem na escola, aspectos físicos e/ou humanos; no que se faz na escola, atividades e rotina; bem como os sentimentos e vivências em relação à instituição. As representações das crianças também ressaltam a importância do brincar e dos espaços externos como elementos que não podem faltar em uma boa escola.This article is part of research on the representation of school children in kindergarten. The data analyzed refers to the ideas of children between 5 and 6 years of age, who attend a school environment constructivist. The Clinical Method of Piaget's research was used for data collection and analysis. The data were subjected to qualitative analysis, and the children’s answers were grouped into subcategories. The results show that children understand the school from the aspects that can be observed directly in the school context. The explanations are based on what they have in school, physical and human aspects; as it does at school, and routine activities, as well as the feelings and experiences related to the institution.
