Resumo: | The implementations in the consolidation processes are in clinical dental practice due to its ability to adapt to masticatory and aesthetic preserving the remaining teeth. The use of cemented prostheses on titanium interfaces requires the use of resin cements for the construction of the prosthetic crown. The treatment of the effect is a bonding of the cement to the interface and to the different silane molecules are produced to make the bond stronger and longer lasting. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of bissilane on the adhesive strength between titanium and resin cement. For this, 30 commercially pure grade 4 (12.7 x 2 mm) titanium discs were randomly distributed for the treatment with silane: A – Commercial silane (control group); B - Experimental silane 2% methacryloxypropylsilane (MPS); and C- Experimental silane containing 2% MPS and 0.2% bis-1,2-(triethoxysilyl)ethane (BTSE). The commercial silane was applied following the same manufacturer and an experimental silanization followed the same protocol. Then, composite resin cylinders (5 x 5 mm) were healed with resin (U200, 3M) and polymerized by blue light for 1 min. The samples were stored for 24 hours and 90 days in distilled water at 37 ° C to be subjected to the mechanical shear test in a universal machine with the name of a titanium-resin load with a load cell of 2kN and a loading speed of 0 , 5 mm / min. The force at time of recording was recorded and the mean and standard deviation of each group were calculated. The groups were compared with the analysis of variance at 2% considering the level of significance of 5%. Greater resistance was observed when the experimental silanes were applied. The presence of BTSE did not become initial and was effective in maintenance after aging in water. In order to be useful, the BTSE may be an interesting tool for maintaining titanium adhesion. |

O uso de próteses cimentadas sobre componentes de titânio requer o uso de cimentos resinosos para a construção da coroa protética. O ponto fraco deste processo é a união do cimento à interface de titânio e para isto diferentes moléculas de silano são produzidas para tornar esta adesão mais resistente e mais duradoura. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influência do bissilano na resistência adesiva entre o titânio e o cimento resinoso. Para isto, 30 discos de titânio comercialmente puro grau 4 (12,7 x 2 mm) foram distribuídos aleatoriamente para receber o tratamento com silano: A- Silano comercial– grupo controle; B- Silano experimental 2% metacriloxypropilsilano (MPS); e C- Silano experimental contendo 2% MPSe 0,2% de bis-1,2-(trietoxisilil)etano (BTSE)bissilano. O silano comercial foi aplicado seguindo as recomendações do próprio fabricante e a silanização experimental seguiu o mesmo protocolo. Em seguida, cilindros de resina composta (5 x 5 mm) foram cimentados com cimento resinoso (U200, 3M) e polimerizados por luz azul durante 1 min. A amostras foram armazenadas durante 24 horas e 90 dias em água destilada a37°C para serem submetidas ao ensaio mecânico de cisalhamento em uma máquina universal com cinzel posicionado na interface titânio-resina com célula de carga de 2kN e velocidade de carga de 0,5mm/min. A força no momento da ruptura foi registrada e a média e desvio-padrão de cada grupo foi calculada. Os grupos foram comparados com análise de variância a 2 critérios considerando o nível de significância de 5%. Pode-se observar a maior resistência adesiva quando foi aplicado os silanos experimentais. A presença de BTSE não reduziu a adesão inicial e foi eficaz em manter a adesão após o envelhecimento em água.
