The criminalization of migration and the role of the transnationals in the countries of destination: the case of the Senegalese in Barcelona and Buenos Aires

Resumo: In this article we will briefly compare the migration policy applied in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the City of Barcelona and how some regulations have a differential impact on the Senegalese population. In recent times we have observed a certain synchronicity with the operatives that criminalize the Senegalese workers in both cities. On the other hand, prizes awarded by transnational companies to judges, prosecutors and policemen have been publicized in the two cities for the persecution of migrants who sell counterfeit goods, so in this article we analyze the role of these companies in the configuration of a migration policy that criminalizes the Senegalese population. The methodology is a qualitative analysis consisting of a documentary compilation and an analysis of cases that have been documented through networks of activism and the written press of both cities.

Ya que en el último tiempo hemos observado cierta sincronía con los operativos que criminalizan a los trabajadores senegaleses en ambas ciudades. Por otra parte, en las dos ciudades se han publicitado premios otorgados por empresas trasnacionales a jueces, fiscales y policías por la persecución de migrantes que venden mercancía falsificada, por ello en este artículo analizamos el rol de estas empresas en la configuración de una política migratoria que criminaliza la población senegalesa. La metodología es un análisis cualitativo compuesto por una recopilación documental y un análisis de casos que se han documentado a través de redes de activismo y de la prensa escrita de ambas ciudades.Neste artigo vamos comparar brevemente a política de migração aplicada na Cidade Autônoma de Buenos Aires e na cidade de Barcelona e como algumas regulamentações têm um impacto diferencial sobre a população senegalesa. Nos últimos tempos, observamos uma certa sincronicidade com os operários que criminalizam os trabalhadores senegaleses nas duas cidades. Por outro lado, os prêmios concedidos pelas empresas transnacionais aos juízes, promotores e policiais foram divulgados nas duas cidades para a perseguição de migrantes que vendem produtos falsificados, portanto, neste artigo, analisamos o papel dessas empresas na configuração de uma migração. política que criminaliza a população senegalesa.
