Resumo: The study examines the occurrence of possessive pronouns in the Flos Sanctorum, a document from the XIV century, considering the distribution of prenominal seu, as opposed to other strategies in the expression of possession. It is argued that the analysis of these strucutures is essential for an approach of the innovative properties of PB, particularly (i) the change in the grammatical status of the pronoun seu;  (ii) the implementation of the forms dele(s)/ dela(s) (=of+3p+Masc/Fem+s/pl); the loss of possessive datives lhe(s); the generalized use of the null possessive in constructions involving inalienable possession.
