Resumo: | The article aims to present the results of the research carried out about the violations of rights suffered by adolescents during or after the socio-educational measure of freedom deprivation. For this, an analysis of reports from the Human Rights Commissions of a state in northeastern Brazil was carried out and interviews were conducted with adolescents deprived of liberty. The data confirmed the existence of various violation of rights, as well as the similarity between the studied measure and Brazilian Penitentiary System. It is fundamental to strengthen the debates that focus on the necessity to overcome the freedom deprivation model, and it is necessary to understand that assuring human rights is an important tactic on building a new society. |

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los resultados de las investigaciones realizadas en un estado del nordeste brasileño, sobre las violaciones de los derechos de los adolescentes durante el cumplimiento de la medida socioeducativa de privación de la libertad. Para ello, se realizó un análisis de informes de las Comisiones de Derechos Humanos y se realizaron entrevistas con los adolescentes privados de libertad. Los datos confirmaron la existencia de diversas violaciones de derechos, así como una semejanza entre el caso estudiado y el Sistema Penitenciario brasileño. Es fundamental el fortalecimiento de los debates que tengan como foco la necesidad de la superación del modelo de privación de libertad, y la comprensión de la garantía de los derechos humanos como una importante táctica para la construcción de una nueva sociedad. O artigo objetiva apresentar os resultados de pesquisa realizada em um estado do nordeste brasileiro, acerca das violações de direitos sofridas por adolescentes durante o cumprimento da medida socioeducativa de privação de liberdade. Para isso, foi feita uma análise de relatórios das Comissões de Direitos Humanos e realizadas entrevistas com os adolescentes privados de liberdade. Os dados confirmam a existência de diversas violações de direitos, além de uma semelhança entre a medida socioeducativa de internação e o Sistema Penitenciário. É fundamental o fortalecimento dos debates que tenham como foco a necessidade da superação do modelo de privação de liberdade, bem com a compreensão da garantia dos direitos humanos como uma importante tática para a construção de uma nova sociedade.
