Social representations of gypsies peoples in the press vehicles of the State of Goiás (2018-2022)

Resumo: In this research, we analyze how the press vehicles build representations about gypsies in the State of Goiás. For the development of the discussions and reflections shared in this article, we carried out empirical research, which involved accessing, reading and analyzing criminal reports, available on the Internet and selected from the results found on the Google platform, which mention and highlight the involvement of Gypsy people in the news, limited to the period from 2018 to 2022. We interspersed this investigation with searches and analysis of the criminal cases found and related to the cases reported in the press. This is anthropologically-inspired research, which takes into account bibliographical references in the field of critical criminology and media studies, in order to understand the networks of meanings that emerge from the journalistic texts present on the world wide web, since they produce meanings about gypsy existence and at the same time about the role of the criminal justice system in the face of crimes and the supposed subjects involved, who are racialized by the communication channels observed.

En esta investigación, analizamos cómo los vehículos de prensa construyen representaciones sobre los gitanos en el Estado de Goiás. Para el desarrollo de las discusiones y reflexiones compartidas en este artículo, realizamos una investigación empírica, que consistió en el acceso, lectura y análisis de las denuncias penales, disponibles en Internet y seleccionadas a partir de los resultados encontrados en la plataforma Google, que mencionan y destacan la implicación de personas gitanas en el hecho denunciado, circunscritas al periodo comprendido entre 2018 y 2022. Intercalamos esta investigación con búsquedas y análisis de las causas penales encontradas y relacionadas con los casos reseñados en la prensa. Se trata de una investigación de inspiración antropológica, que tiene en cuenta referencias bibliográficas sobre el sistema de justicia penal y los estudios de medios, para comprender las redes de significados que emergen de los textos periodísticos en la internet, ya que producen significados sobre la existencia gitana y, al mismo tiempo, sobre el papel del sistema de justicia penal ante los delitos y los presuntos sujetos implicados, racializados por los canales de comunicación observados. Nesta pesquisa, analisamos como os veículos de imprensa constroem as representações sobre os ciganos no Estado de Goiás. Para o desenvolvimento das discussões e reflexões compartilhadas neste artigo, realizamos uma pesquisa empírica, que envolveu o acesso, a leitura e análise de reportagens de cunho criminal, disponíveis na Internet e selecionadas a partir dos resultados encontrados na plataforma Google, que menciona e destaca o envolvimento de pessoas ciganas no fato noticiado, circunscrito ao período de 2018 a 2022. Intercalamos a presente investigação com buscas e análises dos processos criminais encontrados e relacionados aos casos noticiados. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de inspiração antropológica, que leva em conta referências bibliográficas sobre o sistema de justiça penal e dos estudos sobre a mídia, para compreender quais os  sentidos que emergem dos textos jornalísticos presentes na rede mundial de computadores, uma vez que produzem significados sobre a existência cigana e ao mesmo tempo quanto ao papel do sistema de justiça penal em face dos crimes e dos supostos sujeitos envolvidos, que são racializados pelos canais de comunicação observados.
