The advent of Human Rights in the colonial world: race as an ontological rupture

Resumo: The present work proposes an analysis of the history of Human Rights combined with analyzes of the Theories of the South. The problem to be faced is: what is the place of race in the invention of human rights? The main objective is to suggest that the history of Human Rights in the American continent faced race as a dehumanizing device, requiring the radicalization of the HR discourse in order to overcome race as a category. Specifically, the objectives are: to study the history of human rights, as well as concepts dear to them; highlight the ontological rupture in the colonized world; (To understand Fanon's notion of revolutionary humanism, as well as alternatives for Human Rights in Latin America. For this, research will be carried out using a bibliographic review method.

El presente trabajo propone un análisis de la historia de los Derechos Humanos combinado con análisis de las Teorías del Sur. El problema a enfrentar es: ¿cuál es el lugar de la raza en la invención de los derechos humanos? El objetivo principal es indicar que la historia de los Derechos Humanos en el continente americano enfrentó la raza como un dispositivo deshumanizador, requiriendo la radicalización del discurso de los DH para superar la raza como categoría. Específicamente, los objetivos son: estudiar la historia de los derechos humanos, así como los conceptos pertinentes a ellos; resaltar la ruptura ontológica en el mundo colonizado; comprender la noción de humanismo revolucionario de Fanon, así como las alternativas para los Derechos Humanos en América Latina. Para ello, se realizará una investigación utilizando un método de revisión bibliográfica. O presente trabalho propõe uma análise da história dos Direitos Humanos combinada com análises das Teorias do Sul. O problema a ser enfrentado é: qual o lugar da raça na invenção dos direitos humanos? O principal objetivo é sugerir que a história dos Direitos Humanos no continente americano se deparou com a raça como dispositivo desumanizante, sendo necessário a radicalização do discurso dos DH, a fim de superar a raça como categoria. Especificamente, os objetivos são: estudar a história dos direitos humanos, bem como conceitos caros a eles; ressaltar a ruptura ontológica no mundo colonizado; compreender a noção de humanismo revolucionário de Fanon, bem como alternativas para os Direitos Humanos na América Latina.
