THE FALLACY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF REVERSE LOGISTICS

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the implementation of reverse logistics to verify if this important instrument established by the Law of the National Solid Waste Policy has been effective in environmental protection or is just a fallacy of environmental sustainability. The analytical approach is employed from the qualitative analysis of the data obtained through research on websites and government reports that list information about the actions already adopted to carry out the management of solid waste, also through websites of non-governmental organizations to verify statistical data and analyzes on the subject and, finally, through bibliographical research in books and academic journals to carry out a theoretical review and verification of other critical studies on the effectiveness of reverse logistics. The results are that by observing the phenomenon of effectiveness and by the qualitative analysis of the data that the reverse logistics instrument has not been effective, therefore, it can be characterized as a fallacy of environmental sustainability.

A abordagem analítica é empregada a partir da análise qualitativa dos dados obtidos por meio de pesquisa em sites e relatórios governamentais que elencam informações sobre as ações já adotadas para efetivar a gestão e gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos, ainda, por meio de sites de organizações não governamentais para verificar dados estatísticos e análises sobre o tema e, por fim, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica em livros e revistas acadêmicas para fazer a revisão teórica e a verificação de outros estudos críticos sobre a eficácia da logística reversa.
