Resumo: This paper examines how women's criticism of the construction of Brasília can contribute to expanding the canonical narrative about the city. Based on the analysis of the texts by historian and art and architecture critic Françoise Choay, published in 1959, the article investigates the representation of women at the Extraordinary International Congress of Art Critics of 1959, as well as the different perspectives on the planning of the city. By acknowledging the asymmetries and differences in perspectives in the texts, the article aims to complexify the narrative about Brasília, expanding it with the voices and perspectives of women for a richer and more plural understanding of the city's history.
