Através desta pesquisa procurou-se conhecer a Geografia na trajetória escolar de oito professores das series iniciais do ensino fundamental em escolas públicas do município de Anápolis, GO; na Escola Sesi Jaiara, foi aplicado o questionário a cinco professores, sendo o Sesi uma escola conveniada na qual trabalho com alfabetização e os outros três no Colégio Estadual Maria Aparecida Alves,situado no bairro Jardim America Anápolis GO, com professores do 6º ano , com intuito de conhecer o nível de satisfação em relação ao material didático utilizado e se o mesmo contempla a realidade do aluno. Resultados preliminares da pesquisa apontam que a prática de ensino desenvolvida na rede publica apresenta a Geografia de forma isolada do cotidiano e de cria-se um contexto de artificialidade, onde além de comprometer a aprendizagem dos alunos, dificulta para o professor ministrar suas aulas. Procurou-se conhecer a Historia da Geografia desde os seus primórdios para compreender a sua aplicação atual e o desenvolvimento nas series iniciais do ensino fundamental, procurando analisar e discutir as concepções teóricas e as influencias das leis e decretos que permeiam os conteúdos abordados nos manuais didáticos e nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais . Todo o trabalho seguiu a trajetória da Geografia nas series inicias do ensino fundamental, a partir da observação e de pesquisa desenvolvida junto aos professores selecionados a responderem o questionário. Chegou-se a conclusão que há diversos fatores que interferem sistematicamente na não valorização da Geografia no espaço escolar e nas praticas pedagógicas inseridas pelos professores que atuam nessas series. Dentre esses fatores destaca-se o pequeno contato que os mesmos tiveram com a Geografia no seu processo educacional, assim a transmissão não seria de outra forma. Entende-se que Geografia não deve ser aplicada de forma fragmentada divergente do cotidiano e sim desde as series iniciais, pois a mesma permite ter entender a dinâmica e compreender o espaço que os rodeiam no contemporâneo fazendo alusão ao passado. A contribuição da Geografia nas series iniciais é a de oferecer ao aluno alfabetização geográfica: ler, interpretar, observar e compreender o meio para que esse possa ser um cidadão consciente da dialética sociedade e espaço e atuar nesse processo enquanto cidadão. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe geographical science in its entirety and educational practice this science students when placed in isolation everyday the students hinders the process of teaching and learning. Through this research we tried to learn geography in school history teachers from eight series of elementary education in the public schools of the city of Annapolis, GO; School Jaiara SESI, the questionnaire was administered to five teachers, and SESI convening a school in which work with literacy and the other three in Colegio Estadual Maria Aparecida Alves, located in Jardim America with teachers of year 6 were, in order to know the level of satisfaction with the teaching materials used and whether it addresses the reality of student. Preliminary results of the research show that the practice of teaching developed in the public presents a geography of everyday life in isolation and creates a context of artificiality, where besides compromising student learning, the teacher makes it difficult to teach their classes. We sought to know the History of Geography since its beginning to understand its application and development in the current series of primary school, trying to analyze and discuss the theoretical conceptions and the influences of the laws and decrees that permeate the content covered in textbooks and the National Curriculum. All work followed the trajectory of Geography in the initial series of elementary education, from observation and research developed with teachers selected to answer the questionnaire. Reached the conclusion that there are several factors that systematically interfere in not valuing Geography at school and pedagogical practices embedded in teachers working in these series. These factors highlight the little contact that they had with the geography in their educational process, so the transmission would not be otherwise. It is understood that geography should not be applied piecemeal divergent everyday but since the original series, because it allows to have to understand the dynamics and understand the space around them in contemporary alluding to the past.
