Ao localizar um padrão local de luta por creche e por qualidade nesse espaço, surgiu a questão que deu origem a esse trabalho: no Distrito Federal existiram movimentos de luta por creche? Na busca pela resposta, o objetivo do presente trabalho é identificar e analisar a organização das creches no Distrito Federal, também na década de 1970, buscando confrontar as ações nacionais com as locais. No esforço de compreensão da constituição do atendimento a bebês e crianças bem pequenas em creches, fundamentou as discussões teóricas nos estudos de Campos (1999), Kuhlmann (2007), Oliveira (1988) e Rosemberg (1992), por permitirem uma contextualização histórica sobre o tema. Em paralelo, realizou-se buscas por estudos científicos nas em diferentes bases, tais como: ANPEd, Capes, BDM/UnB e Scielo. When locating a local pattern of struggle for day care and for quality in this space, the question that gave rise to this work arose: in the Distrito Federal there were movements of struggle for day care? In the search for an answer, the objective of the present work is to identify and analyze the organization of daycare centers in the Distrito Federal, also in the 1970s, seeking to confront national and local actions. In an effort to understand the constitution of care for babies and very young children in daycare centers, theoretical discussions were based on the studies by Campos (1999), Kuhlmann (2007), Oliveira (1988) and Rosemberg (1992), for allowing historical contextualization on the topic. In parallel, searches for scientific studies were carried out in different bases, such as: ANPEd, Capes, BDM / UnB and Scielo. The sources that assist in the historical interpretation of the existence of a debate about day care in Brasília were found in the Digital Library of the National Library, with the news and reports about day care in DF published in the newspaper Correio Braziliense.
