Oral genres and critical literacy in a textbook on Natural Sciences

Resumo: This study aims to analysis two proposal of oral genre production, from a collection of Nature Science textbook, supported in Bakhtin (2019) and Schneuwly and Dolz (2011). We noted the possibilities of favouring to the critical literacy of student, from the perspective of Freire (2019), Street (2014) and Soares (2009). We justify the investigation of textbook and we showed the relevance of research about the oral genres and their links with the critical literacy. It is a document content analysis with focus quanti-qualitative and interpretive. The data conclude the occurrence of a limited percentage of these proposals, however the study indicates the contribution to the critical literacy of student.

El favorecer de la alfabetización crítica se observó desde la perspectiva de Freire (2019), Street (2014) y Soares (2009). Justificamos la investigación del libro de texto y señalamos la relevancia de la investigación sobre los géneros orales y sus vínculos con la alfabetización crítica. Es un análisis de contenido documental con enfoque cuantitativo-cualitativo e interpretativo. Los datos muestran la ocurrencia de un bajo porcentaje de estas propuestas, sin embargo, el estudio indica el aporte a la alfabetización crítica del estudiante.Este estudo objetiva analisar duas propostas de produção de gêneros orais em uma coleção de livros didáticos de Ciências da Natureza, com base em Bakhtin (2019) e Schneuwly e Dolz (2011). Observou-se o favorecimento para o letramento crítico sob a ótica de Freire (2019), Street (2014) e Soares (2009). Justificamos a investigação do livro didático e apontamos a relevância de pesquisas sobre os gêneros orais e suas vinculações com o letramento crítico. É uma análise de conteúdo documental com enfoque quanti-qualitativo e interpretativista.
