Resumo: | The three main approaches to the study of the intelligence(psychometric, developmental and cognitive) were analysed according totheir theoretical and methodological aspects and to their practical implications.The authors emphasize the limits of these three different perspectivesin which the concept of intelligence is an universal and generic notionwithout the influences of social and cultural aspects. They also point outthat a characterization of intelligence as independent of these aspects is amisunderstood conception of its function and meaning. |

Os autores enfatizam os limites destas três perspectivas onde a inteligência é considerada uma noção universal e genérica, Ã parte das influências sociais e culturais.
