Resumo: | This article aims to analyse the professional performance of technicians and technologists in the Viticulture and Oenology graduation course at IFRS Campus Bento Gonçalves, and their relation to wine tourism activities in a descriptive and exploratory study, through an online survey. This survey consists in open and closed questions about socio-demographic, qualification and professional performance aspects. The sample corresponds to 91 participants, who concluded college between 2011 and 2017, considering N = 322. The descriptive statistics applied identified the main activities respondents, including: wine analysis and elaboration, visitors reception and serving, guide tours and cellar door. Among the participants, 75 % had guided visitors during tasting, but just 59 % had indicated that they have already worked with wine tourism activities. The technician in Viticulture and Oenology is one of the professionals that has to work in wine tourism, followed by the tourism professional and the oenologist. Every informant has considered meaningful to learn about wine tourism, however 68 % indicates that the college do not provide enough background related to. Results confirm that oenologists have a relevant role to develop for wine tourism, because of the tourist activities they are involved, although they do not have enough practical and theoretical background knowledge to promote their qualification. It is institute duty to adapt the curriculum courses, updating them according to the job market. Keywords: Wine tourism. Professional education. Rural development. |

Rural development.El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el desempeño profesional de técnicos y tecnólogos graduados en Viticultura y Enología en el IFRS Campus Bento Gonçalves y su relación con las actividades de enoturismo. Es un estudio descriptivo-exploratorio, mediante un cuestionario online de preguntas abiertas y cerradas acerca de los aspectos sociodemográficos, capacitación y desempeño profesional. La muestra corresponde a 91 participantes que completaron el curso entre 2011 y 2017, con N = 322. Las estadísticas descriptivas identificaran las principales actividades realizadas por los egresos, que incluyen la preparación y el análisis de vinos, recepción y servicio a los turistas, guía en visitas, venta y comercialización. De los participantes, el 75 % acompañó a los visitantes en degustaciones, pero solo el 59 % indicó haber trabajado con actividades de enoturismo. El técnico en Viticultura y Enología es visto como un profesional que debe trabajar con enoturismo en las bodegas, seguido por el experto en turismo y después por el enólogo. Todos consideran relevante aprender sobre enoturismo; sin embargo, el 68 % indicó que la institución educativa no ofreció conocimiento acerca del tema. Los enólogos tienen un papel importante en el desarrollo del enoturismo, a pesar de que no tienen un plan de estudios que proporcione conocimientos teóricos y prácticos que favorezcan la calificación, siendo responsabilidad de las instituciones educativas adaptar sus planes a la demanda del mercado laboral. Desarrollo rural.Este trabalho objetiva analisar a atuação profissional dos técnicos e tecnólogos em Viticultura e Enologia egressos do IFRS Campus Bento Gonçalves, e sua relação com atividades de enoturismo. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo-exploratório, mediante questionário online, contendo questões abertas e fechadas sobre aspectos sociodemográficos, formação e atuação profissional. A amostra corresponde a 91 participantes que concluíram o curso entre 2011 a 2017, sendo N = 322. As estatísticas descritivas aplicadas identificaram as principais atividades executadas pelos respondentes, que incluem a elaboração e análise de vinhos, recepção e atendimento a turistas, guiamento em visitas, varejo e comercialização. Dos participantes, 75 % acompanharam visitantes em degustações, mas apenas 59 % indicaram ter trabalhado com atividades enoturísticas. O técnico em Viticultura e Enologia é visto como um profissional que deve atuar no enoturismo em vinícolas, seguido pelo turismólogo e pelo enólogo. Todos consideraram relevante aprender sobre enoturismo; entretanto, 68 % indicaram que a instituição de ensino não oportunizou conhecimentos na área. Constata-se que os enólogos têm papel substancial no desenvolvimento do turismo de vinhos, apesar de não disporem de grade curricular que oferte conhecimentos teórico-práticos enriquecedores à qualificação, cabendo às instituições de ensino adaptarem seus currículos frente à demanda do mercado de trabalho.
