Playing, analyzing, developing games and reflecting on their pedagogical use

Resumo: This research investigates methodologies and innovative pedagogical practices in the production and application of the Game Comenius, in situations of formal and informal learning, which lead to training with, on and through the media of undergraduate students and teachers, having the literacies as a guide; design and learning based on digital games and initial and continuing teacher training. The methodology applies Design-Based Research (DBR), in an iterative process of investigation, creation, production and evaluation, with the game being fed back by information from the actors who test it in workshops, the results of which are returned to the design, generating improvements in the prototype to be tested in new training cycles. The production of data during the workshops is done by questionnaires and production of narratives. The results of the production of different game formats and the training of dozens of course participants suggest that it is possible to play, analyze, create games and even reflect on their use in pedagogical practices.

La metodología aplica Design-Based Research (DBR), en un proceso iterativo de investigación, creación, producción y evaluación, retroalimentando el juego con información de los actores que lo prueban en los talleres, cuyos resultados se devuelven al diseño, generando mejoras en el prototipo para ser probado en nuevos ciclos formativos. La producción de datos durante los talleres se realiza mediante cuestionarios y producción de narrativas. Los resultados de la producción de diferentes formatos de juego y la formación de decenas de participantes del curso sugieren que es posible jugar, analizar, crear juegos e incluso reflexionar sobre su uso en prácticas pedagógicas.Esta pesquisa investiga metodologias e práticas pedagógicas inovadoras na produção e aplicação do Game Comenius, em situações de aprendizagem formal e informal, que levem à formação com, sobre e através das mídias de estudantes de licenciatura e professores, tendo por guia os letramentos; o design e a aprendizagem baseada em jogos digitais e a formação docente inicial e continuada. A metodologia aplica a Design-Based Research (DBR), em um processo iterativo de investigação, criação, produção e avaliação, sendo o jogo realimentado pelas informações dos atores que o testam em oficinas, cujos resultados são devolvidos ao design, gerando melhorias no protótipo a ser testado em novos ciclos de formação. A produção de dados durante as oficinas é feita por questionários e produção de narrativas.
