Resumo: This article is a segment of the ongoing doctoral study "Education with hands on the floor: an educational principle based on the memories of female capoeira masters in the State of São Paulo". It aims to recognize and give visibility to historically subalternized memories of women in capoeira. It problematizes the absence, silence and/or erasure of female memories in the collective, discursive, and documentary imagination of capoeira. In this endeavor, it uses inclusive, feminist and decolonial education perspectives mobilized by narratives of (auto)biographical education, produced in interviews-conversations. It concludes that the capoeira is deeply influenced by the effects of gender coloniality, although potentially, for its Afro-Brazilian ancestry of struggle and resistance to processes of ontological violation and human rights, (still) preserves conditions and possibilities to invent itself in order to create inclusive and decolonizing educational processes.

Busca reconocer y visibilizar las memorias históricamente subordinadas de las mujeres en la capoeira. Discute la ausencia, el silencio y/o el borrado de las memorias femeninas en el imaginario colectivo, discursivo y documental de la capoeira. Para ello, se recurre a perspectivas educativas inclusivas, feministas y decoloniales movilizadas por narrativas (auto)biográficas de formación, producidas en entrevistas-conversaciones, Se concluye que la capoeira está fuertemente permeada por los efectos de la colonialidad de género, aunque potencialmente, debido a sus orígenes afrobrasileños como forma de lucha y resistencia a procesos de violación ontológica y de los derechos humanos, (aún) conserva las condiciones y posibilidades de inventarse a sí misma de manera que dé lugar a procesos educativos/formativos inclusivos y descolonizadores.Este artigo é um recorte da pesquisa de doutorado em andamento “Educação com as mãos no chão: um princípio formativo a partir das memórias de mulheres mestras de capoeira no Estado de São Paulo”. Busca-se o reconhecimento e a visibilidade de memórias subalternizadas historicamente de mulheres na capoeira. Problematiza a ausência, o silêncio e/ou apagamento de memórias femininas no imaginário coletivo, discursivo e documental da capoeira.
