Resumo: This article aims to analyze the impacts caused on the life of teachers in during the period of the pandemic, which led them to abruptly insert themselves into the unknown digital world, starting from their own narratives. To highlight the situation, we bring to the text testimonials of two Portuguese-speaking teachers who declare their challenges and expectations in conducting reading and writing work in remote rooms. For an effective methodological achievement, bibliographic instruments and narrative documents of these Portuguese language teachers who work respectively in basic education and higher education were used. And as a reference base, we have brought the ideas of Boaventura de Souza Santos, Walter Mignolo, Giorgio Agamben, Roland Barthes, Rildo Cosson, Annie Rouxel, Paul Ricoeur, among others. Para melhor evidenciar a situação, trazemos para o texto depoimentos de dois professores de Língua Portuguesa que declaram os seus desafios e expectativas na condução do trabalho de leitura e escrita em salas remotas. Para uma eficaz consecução metodológica, foram utilizados instrumentos bibliográficos e documentos narrativos dos referidos professores de Língua Portuguesa que atuam respectivamente na educação básica e na educação superior.
