Narratives of an in-service Chemistry Teachers’ group in Minas Gerais (Brazil): outlining some emotional implications for teaching in the covid-19 pandemic time

Resumo: This work presents an excerpt from a research carried out within the scope of the Lato sensu Specialization course in Chemistry Teaching at the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in which the impacts of the pandemic on the educational scope and, in a special way, in the teaching of Chemistry. A qualitative-narrative research was carried out with a group of 31 Chemistry teachers from Minas Gerais. Data were analyzed based on Discursive Textual Analysis and the results revealed a series of educational weaknesses that were accentuated by the pandemic context, affecting work and the teaching profession. Finally, this research also pointed to the importance of considering the teaching narratives aimed at improving training actions and public policies that seek to value education professionals, especially those who assume the multiple challenges related to educating at school.

Se realizó una investigación cualitativa-narrativa con un grupo de 31 profesores de Química de Minas Gerais. Los datos fueron analizados con base en el Análisis Textual Discursivo y los resultados revelaron una serie de debilidades educativas que se acentuaron por el contexto de pandemia, afectando el trabajo y la profesión docente. Finalmente, esta investigación también señaló la importancia de considerar las narrativas docentes dirigidas a mejorar las acciones de formación y las políticas públicas que buscan valorizar a los profesionales de la educación, especialmente a aquellos que asumen los múltiples desafíos relacionados con la educación en la escuela.Este trabalho apresenta o recorte de uma pesquisa realizada no âmbito do curso de Especialização Lato sensu em Ensino de Química do Instituto de Química da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Por meio da narrativa de docentes, analisou-se os impactos da pandemia no âmbito educacional e, de modo especial, no ensino da Química. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa-narrativa com um grupo de 31 professores de Química de Minas Gerais. Os dados foram analisados com base na Análise Textual Discursiva e os resultados desvelaram uma série de fragilidades educacionais que foram acentuadas pelo contexto pandêmico, repercutindo no trabalho e na profissão docente.
