Resumo: This article is a study on child sexuality developed from the Grounded Theory methodology. The objective is to present the theorization of child sexuality and how it is directed to the formation of teachers for early childhood educa-tion and early years of elementary education. The main contents of the article are, in the first, the doctoral research that carried out a theorization about the infantile sexuality; secondly, the organization of proposals for teacher training, on the theme. The implications of the research are contributions to the area of sex education and teacher training, especially in considering the sexuality of young children as an aspect of their “biopsychosexsocial” devel-opment.

El objetivo es presentar la teorización de la sexualidad infantil y como se dirige a la formación de profesores para la educación infantil y años iniciales de la enseñanza fundamental. Los conteni-dos principales del artículo son, en primer lugar, la investigación de doctorado que ha efectuado una teorización sobre la sexualidad infantil; en segundo, la organización de propuestas a la formación de profesores, en la temática. Las implicaciones de la investigación son contribuciones al área de la educación sexual y la formación de profesores, sobre todo, en considerar la sexualidad de los niños pequeños como aspecto de su desarrollo “biopsicossexossocial”.Este artigo é um estudo sobre a sexualidade infantil desenvolvido a partir da metodologia Grounded Theory. O objetivo é apresentar a teorização da sexualidade infantil e como se encaminham à formação de professores para a educação infantil e anos iniciais do ensino fundamental. Os conteúdos principais do artigo são, em primeiro lugar, a investigação de doutorado em que foi realizada uma teorização sobre a sexualidade infantil; em segundo, a organização de propostas para a formação de professores na temática.
