The cerrado biome and its current circumstances in the textbook and the expanded curriculum document of goiás

Resumo: Given the importance of studying the conservation of biomes, there is a clear need for an in-depth approach to the Cerrado biome in Basic Education. With this in mind, a research study was conducted aiming to analyze the presence of information about the Cerrado biome in the Curricular Document for Goiás Ampliado – DC-GO, as well as in the collection of textbooks (TBs) used in Elementary Education, adopted by schools in the state network of X municipality, Goiás. The research, using a qualitative-quantitative approach, examines data that highlight texts and images, both directly and indirectly, related to the specific theme. The analysis demonstrates that the TBs need improvement by incorporating content that promotes a conceptual understanding based on scientific references. Conversely, it was found that the DC-GO provides limited coverage of the biome in which the state of Goiás is situated.

Con esto en mente, se realizó una investigación con el objetivo de analizar la presencia de información sobre el bioma del Cerrado en el Documento Curricular para Goiás Ampliado - DC-GO, así como en la colección de libros de texto (LDs) utilizados en la Educación Primaria, adoptados por las escuelas de la red estatal del municipio de X, Goiás. La investigación, de enfoque cualitativo-cuantitativo, examina datos que resaltan textos e imágenes, tanto de forma directa como indirecta, relacionados con el tema específico. El análisis demuestra que los LDs necesitan mejoras al incorporar contenido que promueva una comprensión conceptual basada en referencias científicas. Por otro lado, se encontró que el DC-GO proporciona una cobertura limitada del bioma en el que se encuentra el estado de Goiás.Diante da importância do estudo sobre a conservação dos biomas, é evidente a necessidade de uma abordagem aprofundada sobre o bioma Cerrado na Educação Básica. Por essa questão, foi realizada uma pesquisa objetivando analisar o que há sobre o bioma Cerrado no Documento Curricular para Goiás Ampliado – DC-GO e na coleção de livros didáticos (LDs) do Ensino Fundamental, adotada por escolas da rede estadual do município de X[1] - Goiás. A pesquisa, de abordagem quali-quantitativa, trata de dados que destacam textos e imagens, direta e indiretamente, relacionadas ao tema específico. A análise evidencia que os LDs precisam melhorar, utilizando conteúdos que promovam um aprofundamento conceitual quando relacionados aos referenciais científicos.
