Resumo: Starting from the understanding of the importance of verifying the knowledge of mathematics teachers about dyscalculia, since it is the teacher who lives with the student weekly, being able to provide opportunities for referral to professionals who can carry out the diagnosis and promote guidelines for carrying out in an adequate pedagogical intervention. This study will identify the knowledge of teachers in the early grades of a basic education school about dyscalculia. The research was carried out through the application of a questionnaire, applied to teachers working in the initial series of a public school in the city of Urussanga, in the State of Santa Catarina. The present study shows that the topic is not sufficiently addressed in continuous training, although all respondents claimed to have knowledge about the disorder.

The present study shows that the topic is not sufficiently addressed in continuous training, although all respondents claimed to have knowledge about the disorder.Partindo do entendimento da importância de verificar o conhecimento dos professores de matemática sobre discalculia, visto que é o professor quem convive semanalmente com o estudante, sendo capaz de oportunizar o encaminhamento a profissionais que possam realizar esse diagnóstico e promover orientações para a realização de uma intervenção pedagógica adequada, este estudo teve como objetivo identificar o conhecimento de professores das séries iniciais de uma escola de educação básica sobre discalculia. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio da aplicação de questionário, que foi aplicado a professores atuantes nas séries iniciais de uma escola pública da cidade de Urussanga/SC.
