PRINCÍPIOS, FUNDAMENTOS E PROCESSOS FORMATIVOS DE UMA ESCOLA DEMOCRÁTICA NO MUNICÍPIO DE SÃO PAULO

This work presents the results of a qualitative master's research whose objective was to analyze the principles, foundations and training processes of an institution called “Escola Democrática”, located in the city of São Paulo. Data collection was structured through access to the Pedagogical Political Project and the School Regulations, on-site observation and semi-structured interviews with the school manager. The analysis was carried out through Discursive Textual Analysis, generating analytical axes that allowed recognizing that the school has a malleable curriculum and proposes diversified and significant activities, horizontal management and concern with critical education and with the protagonism of students. It is concluded, therefore, that, despite the challenges, the school is configured as a democratic space.
