Resumo: | This article is based on a research about teaching praxes held in 2007 and 2008, and in another research, which began in 2009 and is still in course. This text aims at understanding the mechanisms involved in the way teaching is structured and the differentiated implication of professors in the different components of their profession. From the qualitative analysis of data obtained through interviews, questionnaires, educational census, analysis of the curricula of professors from different institutions, of all regions of the country and of different areas, I concluded that the work of the professor is multidetermined, depending on the organization and the internal forces of the institution in which they work, of their insertion in the disciplinary fi eld, the relations between disciplines and wider political forces in society. |

Busca compreender os mecanismos intervenientes no modo de estruturação do trabalho docente e a implicação diferenciada dos professores nos diversos componentes de sua profi ssão.
