Resumo: This article discusses how, through the construction of a historical narrative of Paraiba by Paraiba’s Historical and Geographical Institute from 1905 to 1909, a chronology has been structured for this state, and also a conception of what should be preserved, considered tangible heritage, and above all what should be registered.
