USE OF MOBILE APPLICATIONS (APPS) FOR THE VISUAL DISABLED: accessible learning possibilities

Resumo: | ABSTRACT: The use of mobile devices, such as "smartphones", for example, has stood out in national surveys. With increasing demand, there has been a significant increase in the development of services and resources, such as mobile applications (Apps), catering to various needs (leisure, culture, education, etc.) and public, including people with disabilities. From this perspective, this article analyzes the accessible learning possibilities made possible by the use of Apps by Impaired Vision (DV). Through a qualitative approach, this bibliographic study with a survey of diverse sources of information shares the expressive emphasis attributed to the multiple educational facets provided through the use of mobile technology services by the public with DV, a significant portion of the Brazilian population, as expressed in the results of the last Census (2010). It presents the description of some Apps that can be used for the educational development of DV, as well as analyzes their potential use by these subjects. In sum, it considers that these technologies, when used in a cohesive way by the Impaired Vision, translate into a narrow path to their learning process. On the other hand, it still needs incentives and, mainly, clarifications for the proper uses and developments. KEY WORDS: Mobile applications (Apps). Impaired Vision. Learning. |

Learning.O uso de dispositivos móveis, como os “celulares inteligentes” (smartphones), por exemplo, tem se destacado nas pesquisas nacionais. Com uma crescente demanda, houve consequentemente um aumento significativo no desenvolvimento de serviços e recursos, como aplicativos móveis (Apps), atendendo a diversas necessidades (lazer, cultura, educação etc.) e públicos, inclusive as pessoas com deficiência. Nessa perspectiva, este artigo realiza uma análise sobre as possiblidades acessíveis de aprendizagem viabilizadas no uso de Apps pelo Deficiente Visual (DV). Por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, este estudo de natureza bibliográfica com levantamento em diversas fontes de informação compartilha a expressiva ênfase atribuída às múltiplas facetas educativas proporcionadas por meio do uso dos serviços da tecnologia móvel ou mobile pelo público com DV, parcela significativa da população brasileira, conforme expressa os resultados do último Censo (2010). Apresenta a descrição de alguns Apps que podem ser utilizados para o desenvolvimento educacional do DV, bem como analisa seu potencial de uso por parte destes sujeitos. Em suma, considera que essas tecnologias, quando utilizadas de forma coesa pelo Deficiente Visual se traduz num caminho estreito ao seu processo de aprendizagem. Em contrapartida, ainda necessita de incentivos e, principalmente esclarecimentos para os devidos usos e desenvolvimentos.
