Mediation of activity of drawing with alternative communication as a pedagogical strategy for the child with Autism

Resumo: This article presents the drawing activity mediated with AAC as a pedagogical practice for children with ASD capable of provide playful moments and encourage creativity in this children. The proposed activity makes use of the rich resource of children’ stories to start the drawing’ sessions, being that it was asked for the children to represent on their drawings the elements that they liked more in the stories told. The drawing activity search to work on this children mainly their affectivity and their imagination, working as well the symbolic play, being that this activity is a playful one that proposes that the children represents in some way elements of the of the story told. The resources of AAC worked as a tool both to explain the story told and to call the attention of the subjects to the characters and the narrative central elements. All the subjects got really interested by what was being told on the history through the graphic elements of pictograms, enjoying handling and naming them.

A pesquisa, de cunho qualitativo, foi organizada como um estudo de caso no qual a estratégia proposta foi a de “contação de histórias” infantis para iniciar as sessões de desenho. Cada criança foi orientada a apresentar nos seus desenhos os elementos que mais gostaram nas histórias contadas, a partir de diversos recursos disponíveis além de pictogramas. A pesquisa buscou trabalhar nessas crianças principalmente a sua afetividade e a sua imaginação, além do jogo simbólico. Essa última atividade, propõe que as crianças representem de alguma maneira os elementos da história contada. Os recursos de comunicação alternativa funcionaram como uma ferramenta tanto para explicar a história contada quanto para chamar a atenção dos sujeitos para os personagens e elementos centrais da narrativa.
