Agroecology and education in the Zapatista Project: conections in defense of Madre Tierra

Resumo: With the help of empirical, bibliographical and documental investigation, this paper aims to present notes on the challenges faced by Zapatismo (Chiapas - Mexico) in the execution of its agroecological project. This Movement faces adverse conditions for the implementation of its agroecological project, due to the advance, in its territories and their surroundings, of economic development projects of various sizes, guided by perspectives incompatible with agroecology. On the other hand, the Movement, not without contradictions and adverse conditions, registers successful cases, implementing various initiatives for the execution of its agroecological project, which, besides the production of healthy food, aims at the defense of Madre Tierra, an objective imbricated with the issue of Human Rights.

Este Movimiento enfrenta condiciones adversas para la ejecución de su proyecto agroecológico, debido al avance, en sus territorios y sus alrededores, de proyectos de desarrollo económico de diversa envergadura, basados en perspectivas incompatibles con la agroecología. Por otro lado, el Movimiento, no sin contradicciones y condiciones adversas, registra casos exitosos, implementando diversas iniciativas para la ejecución de su proyecto agroecológico, que, además de la producción de alimentos sanos, apunta a la defensa de la Madre Tierra, objetivo imbricado con la cuestión de los Derechos Humanos.Com o subsídio de pesquisa empírica, bibliográfica e documentais, neste texto tem-se por objetivo apresentar apontamentos sobre desafios enfrentados pelo Zapatismo (Chiapas – México) para a execução do seu projeto agroecológico. Esse Movimento enfrenta condições adversas para a consecução do seu projeto agroecológico, devido ao avanço, em seus territórios e seus entornos, de projetos de desenvolvimento econômico de variados portes, pautados por perspectivas incompatíveis com a agroecologia.
