Resumo: | Environmental Education (EA) is characterized as an integrating process between the individual and society that aims on structuring an environmental awareness through the knowledge, skills, experiences, values construction that can act in favor of solving socio-environmental problems and toward nature preservation. Non-formal Education (NFE), on other hand, is based on educational processes developed in non-school spaces and environments that engage in experience creation and sharing associated with visitors experienced situations in these spaces and related to visitation and mediation programs, pedagogical activities, and collective actions driven to scientific knowledge dissemination. Therefore, this article consists in a theoretical essay aimed to outline considerations regarding the relationship between EE and NFE, highlighting its potential for the elaboration of environmental preservation actions intertwined with educational processes. We sought to bring main conceptions about EE and NFE establishing dialogues between the main area authors and relevant official documents to carry out a scenario analysis and contextualization linked to the EE practices and actions in NFE spaces as instruments for the human-nature relationship re-signification that provoke reflections about participations and decisions in the face of contemporary socio-environmental problems. |

La Educación No Formal (ENF) se basa en procesos educativos en espacios ajenos a la escuela. Implica la creación y el intercambio de experiencias vividas por los frecuentadores de estos espacios, y se relaciona con programas de mediación y visitas, actividades pedagógicas y acciones colectivas orientadas a la difusión del conocimiento científico. Este artículo consiste en un ensayo teórico con el objetivo de problematizar las posibles relaciones entre la EA y la ENF para el desarrollo de acciones de preservación ambiental entrelazadas con los procesos educativos. Se abordaron las principales concepciones sobre EA y ENF, proponiendo diálogos entre los autores de las áreas y los documentos oficiales relevantes para realizar el análisis y la contextualización del escenario vinculado a las prácticas y acciones de EA, en los espacios de ENF, como instrumentos para la redefinición de la relación ser humano-naturaleza que plantea reflexiones sobre la participación y las decisiones conscientes frente a los problemas socioambientales contemporáneos.A Educação Ambiental (EA) é caracterizada como processo integrador entre indivíduos e sociedade, com intuito de contribuir para uma sensibilização em relação ao meio ambiente a partir de conhecimentos, habilidades, experiências e valores em prol da resolução de problemas socioambientais e da preservação da natureza. A Educação Não Formal (ENF) baseia-se em processos educativos em espaços distintos do escolar. Envolve a criação e o compartilhamento de experiências vivenciadas pelos frequentadores e relaciona-se com programas de mediação e visitações, atividades pedagógicas e ações coletivas direcionadas à difusão de conhecimento científico. O presente artigo consiste em um ensaio teórico com objetivo de problematizar as possíveis relações entre a EA e a ENF para elaboração de ações de preservação ambiental entrelaçadas a processos educativos.
