POLICY OF ENLARGEMENT OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION: THE NEWCOMER CHILDREN AND THEIR EDUCATION IN THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS

Resumo: | In 2006, in Brazil, the Law No. 11.274 was approved. This law changed the length of elementary school from eight to nine years, and established the required enrolment of the child from six years old. Due to this fact, the objective of this work was to apprehend the newcomer children conception and their education in the official documents that support this policy. For this, documentary research was used, based on the categories: play, space, curriculum, teaching methodology, time, teacher-student relationship and learning/development. Based on the data found, it was verified that incoming children are perceived as complete subjects, with their own characteristics and peculiarities, what need to be considered in the pedagogical planning of nine-year schools. Nevertheless, the official conception of the newcomer child and his education is limited to abstract and theoretical aspects that need time to be reflected and matured by professionals. |

Con eso, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue aprehender la concepción del niño ingresante y de su educación en los documentos oficiales que fundamentan esta política. Para ello, se utilizó la investigación documental, teniendo como base las categorías: jugar, espacio, currículo, metodología de enseñanza, tiempo, relación profesor-alumno y aprendizaje/desarrollo. Con base en los datos encontrados, se verificó que el niño ingresante es percibido como un sujeto completo, con características y peculiaridades propias, las cuales deben ser consideradas en la planificación pedagógica de las escuelas de nueve años. A pesar de ello, la concepción oficial sobre el niño ingresante y su educación se limita a aspectos abstractos y teóricos, que requieren largo tiempo para que se vean reflejados y madurados por los profesionales. No ano de 2006, no Brasil, foi aprovada a Lei n. 11.274 que alterou a duração do ensino fundamental para nove anos e estabeleceu a matrícula obrigatória da criança a partir dos seis anos de idade. Diante disso, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi apreender a concepção de criança ingressante e de sua educação nos documentos oficiais que embasam essa política. Para isso, foi utilizada a pesquisa documental, tendo como base as categorias: brincar, espaço, currículo, metodologia de ensino, tempo, relação professor/aluno e aprendizagem/desenvolvimento. A partir dos dados encontrados, verificou-se que a criança ingressante é percebida como um ser completo, com características e peculiaridades próprias que precisam ser consideradas no planejamento pedagógico das escolas de nove anos.
