Cultural cartographies of the pandemic: an analysis of the spatial representations and practices of IFPR students – União da Vitória

Resumo: This research work aims to identify and discuss the spatial representations of practices and discourses of twenty (20) students of the third year of the technical courses in Environment and in Informatics integrated to the secondary school of IFPR – União da Vitória – PR, Brazil, in common places in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Here, the term social cartography is positioned as a non-orthogonal vision of space and made by non-cartographers, showing greater concern with spatiotemporal situations and contexts than with the cartesian vision of space. The research methodology is document analysis and will be considered and applied to records produced by student volunteers. The analysis of the results showed that, with the social and health restrictions that the Covid-19 pandemic has required so far, the way students relate to aspects and dimensions of the living space has changed. Thus, the pandemic can be considered an event for cultural succession by changing the durations of daily school life.

Thus, the pandemic can be considered an event for cultural succession by changing the durations of daily school life.El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y discutir las representaciones espaciales de prácticas y discursos de 20 estudiantes del tercer año de los cursos técnicos en Informática y de Medio Ambiente integrados al bachillerato de IFPR – União da Vitória-PR, Brasil, en lugares comunes desde el contexto de la pandemia del Covid-19. Aquí, el término cartografía cultural se expresa como una visión no ortogonal del espacio y realizada por no cartógrafos, presentando más preocupaciones en cuanto a situaciones y contextos espacio-temporales que sobre la visión cartesiana del espacio. La metodología de investigación es el análisis de documentos y será considerada y aplicada a los registros producidos por estudiantes voluntarios. El análisis de los resultados mostró que, con las restricciones sociales y de salud que ha requerido la pandemia de Covid-19, la forma en que los estudiantes se relacionan con aspectos y dimensiones del espacio ha cambiado. Así, se puede considerarla pandemia un acontecimiento-evento de sucesión cultural al cambiar las duraciones del cotidiano escolar.O presente trabalho de pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar e discutir as representações espaciais de práticas e discursos de 20 alunos do terceiro ano dos cursos técnicos em Informática e em Meio Ambiente integrados ao ensino médio do IFPR – União da Vitória/PR em lugares comuns a partir do contexto da pandemia da Covid-19. Aqui, o termo cartografia cultural se expressa como uma visão não ortogonal do espaço e feita por não cartógrafos, apresentando uma preocupação maior com as situações e os contextos espaço-temporais do que com a visão cartesiana do espaço. A metodologia de pesquisa é a análise documental e será considerada e aplicada nos registros produzidos pelos alunos voluntários. As análises dos resultados apontaram que, com as restrições sociais e sanitárias exigidas em virtude da pandemia da Covid-19, a relação dos alunos com aspectos e dimensões do espaço de vivência se alterou.
