Resumo: The National School Feeding Program (PNAE), implemented in the 1950s, is characterized as the country's longest-lasting public policy in the area of food and nutritional security, and is considered one of the largest, most comprehensive and long-lasting programs in the area of food school in the world. Thus, the present study aims to analyze the implementation of the National School Feeding Program, conducting a situational diagnosis in 70 municipalities located in the state of Minas Gerais, in order to verify if the municipalities are complying with art. 14 of Law 11.947 / 2009, on the acquisition of family agriculture products, to verify how municipalities are implementing the program guidelines according to Law 11.947 / 2009, to verify the main vegetables acquired, to determine what difficulties municipalities face in relation to the execution and control of the program, referring to period from 2013 to 2016, for which the data were submitted to descriptive statistical analysis. Figures and tables were used to compute the absolute and percentage frequencies, in order to extract information from the sample studied. The descriptive character of the work was mainly determined by the purpose of recording, analyzing and relating variables without manipulating them. In order to verify the management and social control of the PNAE in the scope of the studied municipalities, the use of documentary research techniques and bibliographic research was used as methodological procedure. The results provide a situational diagnosis of the execution of the program in the cities surveyed and the understanding of the difficulties that led them not to hire food from family agriculture to comply with the Law, as well as not meeting the program's guidelines and objectives. It is concluded that the availability of these data on the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) can contribute with the executing agencies in contextualizing the operation of this program and its effectiveness of application.

Deste modo, o presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a execução do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar, realizando um diagnóstico situacional no âmbito de 70 municípios localizados no estado de Minas Gerais, a fim de verificar se os municípios estão atendendo ao art. 14, da Lei nº 11.947/2009, na aquisição de produtos da agricultura familiar, verificar como os municípios estão executando as diretrizes do programa conforme Lei nº 11.947/2009, verificar as principais hortaliças adquiridas, determinar quais dificuldades os municípios enfrentam em relação à execução e controle do programa, referente ao período de 2013 a 2016, para tanto, os dados foram submetidos à análise estatística descritiva. Através de figuras e tabelas, foram computadas as frequências absolutas e percentual, com a finalidade de extrair informações da amostra estudada. O caráter descritivo do trabalho foi determinado, principalmente, pela finalidade de registrar, analisar e relacionar as variáveis sem manipulá-las. Com o intuito de verificar a gestão e controle social do PNAE, no âmbito dos municípios estudados, utilizou-se como procedimento metodológico o emprego das técnicas da pesquisa documental e pesquisa bibliográfica. Os resultados fornecem um diagnóstico situacional da execução do programa nos municípios pesquisados e a compreensão das dificuldades que os levaram a não contratar alimentos da agricultura familiar para cumprimento da Lei, assim como o não atendimento das diretrizes e objetivos do programa.
