Resumo: This work presents a comparative architectural analysis of the main passenger buildings of the Spanish Northern Company with the premise that all or at least part of the original building exists or has been reformed/expanded by this company. Thus, the analysis carried out is structured in three levels following the Vitruvian triad: historical-constructive, functional and composition-stylistic. A forward-looking statement is made from the conclusions of how these elements are being protected, what we should protect and what is the trend of uses in them. Underlying the need to establish accurate, clear and concrete basic values and definitions of this heritage that allow for a unification of criteria and a discussion on railway heritage for general use as well as to flee from the catalogue or stereotypical and static inventory extrapolated from other architectures and may not conform to the reality of these buildings.

Universidade Estadual de Campinas2019-10-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTextoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/otherapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/labore/article/view/865604810.20396/labore.v13i0.8656048Labor e Engenho; Vol. 13 (2019): Publicação contínua ; e019009Labor e Engenho; Vol. 13 (2019): Publicação contínua ; e019009Labor e Engenho; v. 13 (2019): Publicação contínua ; e0190092176-8846reponame:Labor & Engenho (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP)instacron:UNICAMPporhttps://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/labore/article/view/8656048/21398Spain; 1856-1941España; 1856-1941Copyright (c) 2019 Labor e Engenhoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMartinez-Corral, Aurora MariaCuéllar, Domingo2021-01-22T12:03:34Zoai:ojs.periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br:article/8656048Revistahttp://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/laborePUBhttps://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/labore/oai||argollo@fec.unicamp.br2176-88461981-1152opendoar:2021-01-22T12:03:34Labor & Engenho (Online) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP)false
