Resumo: The human body is our way of being in the world. It requires to be and live in its environment, of replicas represented in architecture, the city and objects. The body is involved, both in the self and in the id, and is affirmed in the individual and social being to develop in time. It is in this way, a social and historical construction. The body is a matter of philosophy, science, art and poetry. There is no other reality than the one the body and its vision of reality procures. Space is phenomized in the body, but the body in turn is spatialized. Architecture and the city are meta-bodies, where nature, human interiority and the externalization of its dynamics meet. The body while perceiving the world in turn creates a world. The mind, in principle not ponderable, becomes embodied to be in the world.
