Resumo: | Adaequatio rei et intellectus is a subject that when attentively ap proached proves to be an indirect question. In order to justify itself, the mind becomes an inquiring "authority" in search of truth. If, going beyond every skeptical temptation, we affirm that there is a possible adaequatio between the human faculty of cognition and the external world, we are confronted with the fact that adaequatio is an oblique process rather than an open relationship. |
