Resumo: This article by Jacques Rancière, published in the late 1980s, which marked the beginning of the neoliberal era and the socioeconomic policies that tried to make school and economics coincide, presents an extremely important reflection for all who have tried to think about education since then. . The thesis is simple: there is an insurmountable opposition and hiatus between the projects proper to the school of democracy and the interests of business and industry in training workers and solving the problems of the contemporary economy and unemployment.
