Interfaces among movie theater, science and teaching: a systematic literature review

Resumo: This systematic literature review aimed to identify the relationships established among cinema, Science and teaching (with a greater focus on cartoons and animated films) in theses, dissertations and articles published in the period from 2006 to 2017. The research was carried out using Scielo data basis and the Brazilian Digital Library of theses and dissertations of IBICT, using the search terms “cartoon” or “animation” or “movie theater” and “Science”. Among the works initially found, twenty met the inclusion criteria. It was found that most of them were limited to an in-depth analysis of the film productions, whereas only one study analyzed and applied this resource in the school environment. The results showed there are few studies which directly relate Science and some film products, such as cartoons, especially considering specific areas of Science Education, such as the STS (Science, Technology and Society) approach.

La investigación cubrió las bases de datos de Electronic Electronic Biblioteca en línea y Biblioteca digital brasileña de tesis y disertaciones del Instituto Brasileño de Información en Ciencia y Tecnología, utilizando los términos de búsqueda "dibujo" o "animación" o "cine" y "ciencia". Entre los trabajadores inicialmente encontrados, veinte cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Se descubrió que la mayoría de ellos estaban limitados al análisis en profundidad de las producciones cinematográficas, mientras que solo un estudio analizó y aplicó este recurso en el entorno escolar. Los resultados también mostraron que hay pocos estudios que relacionen directamente la ciencia y algunos productos cinematográficos, como los dibujos animados, especialmente considerando áreas específicas de la educación científica, como el enfoque de ciencia, tecnología y sociedad (CTS).Esta revisão sistemática de literatura teve como objetivo identificar relações estabelecidas entre cinema (com maior enfoque em desenhos animados e filmes de animação), ciência e ensino em teses, dissertações e artigos publicados entre 2006 e 2017. A pesquisa abrangeu as bases de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online e Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações do Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia, utilizando os termos de pesquisa “desenho” ou “animação” ou “cinema” e “ciência”. Dentre os trabalhados inicialmente encontrados, vinte atenderam aos critérios de inclusão. Verificou-se que a maioria deles se limitou a analisar aprofundadamente as produções fílmicas, enquanto apenas um trabalho analisou e aplicou este recurso no ambiente escolar.
