Education, gender and disability: the state of the art of Brazilian dissertations and theses

Resumo: Due to the current Brazilian scenario, issues related to gender and disability are neglected and little discussed, resulting in a reinforcement of social inequalities that cross generations. When we reflect on the education of women with disabilities, we are soon faced with silencing and deletion that directly affect their experiences. This article aimed to analyze the state of the art of dissertations and dissertations on the themes of education, gender and disability. Therefore, we use the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) platforms to identify academic productions. We emphasize that five productions were analyzed, being two dissertations and three theses. As for the results, we noticed a weakness regarding the theoretical basis in the data analysis process of the productions, under the allegation that these were based on the light of theoretical studies by authors who reflect on the theme of gender. We conclude that it is still necessary to produce more studies that address the various issues of gender and disability in the educational sphere.

Cuando reflexionamos sobre la educación de las mujeres con discapacidad, pronto nos enfrentamos a un silenciamiento y supresión que afectan directamente sus vivencias. Este artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar el estado del arte de las disertaciones y tesis sobre los temas de educación, género y discapacidad. Por lo tanto, utilizamos las plataformas de Coordinación para el Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior (CAPES) y la Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones (BDTD) para identificar las producciones académicas. Destacamos que se analizaron cinco producciones, siendo dos disertaciones y tres tesis. En cuanto a los resultados, notamos una debilidad en cuanto a la base teórica en el proceso de análisis de datos de las producciones, bajo el alegato de que estas se basaron en la luz de estudios teóricos de autores que reflexionan sobre el tema de género. Concluimos que aún es necesario producir más estudios que aborden los diversos temas de género y discapacidad en el ámbito educativo.Devido ao cenário atual brasileiro, questões relacionadas a gênero e deficiência são negligenciadas e pouco discutidas, resultando num reforço às desigualdades sociais que atravessam gerações. Ao refletirmos sobre a educação de mulheres com deficiência, logo nos deparamos com silenciamentos e apagamentos que afetam diretamente suas vivências. Este artigo teve como objetivo analisar o estado da arte de dissertações e teses sobre as temáticas educação, gênero e deficiência. Para tanto, utilizamos as plataformas Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) e a Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) para identificarmos as produções acadêmicas. Ressaltamos que foram analisadas cinco produções, sendo três teses e duas dissertações. Quanto aos resultados, percebemos uma fragilidade acerca da base teórica no processo de análise dos dados das produções, sob a alegação de que estas foram alicerçadas à luz dos estudos teóricos de autores que refletem sobre a temática de gênero.
