Resumo: | This research investigated the experiences of teachers in the beginningof their careers, when using Information and Communication Technology - ICT -in their classes. The gathering of data was done by questionnaires and semistructuralized interviews with four subjects. Beyond the difficulties, the fears,the frequent angst in the beginning of the career pointed by national andinternational literature on this theme, other aspects are added due to the use oftechnologies: the slower speed of the classes with the technologies due to itsdynamics; the lack of knowledge, on the part of the students, of thesetechnological tools; the imprevisibility; the improvisation, among others.However, the diverse ways in which the technologies were used evidenced muchcreativity and clarity of objectives, and the positive experiences of this phasemay have contributed to minimize the “reality shock”, beyond other experiences,as the participation in courses of continued education and the support ofcollaborative groups. |

A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas com quatro sujeitos. Além das dificuldades, dos medos, das angústias freqüentes no início de carreira apontados pela literatura nacional e internacional sobre essa temática, outros aspectos são acrescidos devido à utilização das tecnologias: a velocidade mais lenta das aulas com as tecnologias devido a sua dinâmica; a falta de conhecimento, por parte dos alunos, dessas ferramentas tecnológicas; a imprevisibilidade; a improvisação, entre outros. Contudo, as diversas maneiras com que as tecnologias foram utilizadas evidenciaram muita criatividade e clareza dos objetivos, e as experiências positivas dessa fase podem ter contribuído para minimizar o “choque de realidade”, além de outras vivências, como a participação em cursos de formação continuada e o apoio de grupos colaborativos.
