Teaching Mathematics at the beginning of schooling: researches about initial teacher training

Resumo: The present study was carried out from 59 dissertations and theses defended between 2001 and 2012, extractedfrom the corpus of the Universal Project "Mapping and State of the art of Brazilian research about the teacherwho teaches math”. Aimed showing the distribution and concentration of these work by several regions ofBrazil and identify which thematic trends are privileged in these studies, as well as its main results. Withtheoretical basis in Shulman, among others, analyze records and summaries of the works studied in initialmapping in order to identify research that had as a focus of research the early formation of teacher who teachesmathematics in early childhood education and early years of elementary school. Results show several problemsinvolving curricular programs, traditional practices, distance between University and elementary school, but also some possibilities to enhance training for teaching mathematics.

Teve como objetivos visualizar a concentração e a distribuição desses trabalhos pelas diversas regiões do Brasil e identificar quais tendências temáticas são privilegiadas nesses estudos, bem como seus principais resultados. Com base teórica em Shulman, entre outros pesquisadores, analisaram-se fichas e resumos dos trabalhos estudados no mapeamento inicial, a fim de identificar pesquisas que tinham como foco de investigação a formação inicial do professor que ensina Matemática na Educação Infantil e nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental.
