Narratives in the city in photographic albums: the Fortaleza that is found in personal photographic archives

Resumo:  We approach the narratives about Poço da Draga in Fortaleza-CE from photographic albums. We start from the discussions of Certeau (2009); Gagnebin (2006); Assmann (2011) and Bruno (2013). The Group of Research Rastros Urbanos (Urban Traces), through the Outreach Project “Photobiographies: the Fortaleza that is found in Personal Photographic Collections”, develops studies that aim to show and share these different narratives about the city. Poço da Draga is in an area of great real estate speculation near Iracema beach and is constantly suffering the pressure of public and private sectors for the relocation of its residents. By visiting the homes of inhabitants of this neighborhood, we listen to their stories and learn about their memories. The photographs allow us to know these individual biographies, and to connect them to the collective biography of the city, rethinking the reflections on urban anthropology, as well as opening a living and powerful space for a university outreach initiative.

Partimos das discussões de Certeau (2009); Gagnebin (2006); Assmann (2011) e Bruno (2013; 2014). O Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas Rastros Urbanos por meio do projeto de extensão “Fotobiografias: a Fortaleza que se Encontra em Acervos Fotográficos Pessoais”, desenvolve trabalhos que objetivam mostrar e socializar essas outras narrativas sobre a cidade. O Poço da Draga está localizado em uma área de grande especulação imobiliária próxima à praia de Iracema, e sofre constantemente com a pressão do poder público e privado para que seus habitantes sejam removidos. Por meio de visitas aos habitantes desse lugar, escutamos suas histórias e conhecemos suas memórias.
