Resumo: | The Cultural Heritage Law, as a branch of the Law Science, is autonomous in relation to the Environmental Law. On the other hand, the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Brazil occurs mainly through registry, a mechanism created by the Federal Decree no. 3.551/2000. Yet, the protection acts that have arisen from this instrument seem to be insufficient in the face of the Agri-Food Intangible Heritage singularities. For this reason, a theoretical research supported by document analysis as well as socio-legal references was conducted to check if Compliance best practices, according to the parameters established by the national legal and regulatory norms applicable to private companies, could potentially contribute to safeguarding the Agri-Food Heritage. At last, this study revealed that these practices implemented by the Integrity Program can strengthen the protection surrounding the collective organizations formed of traditional foodways maintainers. |
