The misways of memory in Foucault: discontinuity, echo, archive and difference

Resumo: Foucault makes systematic criticisms of a certain conception of memory that, when thinking about the constitution of knowledge, updates a dynamic of historical continuity. However, we believe that there is another modality of memory that runs through Foucauldian texts and, from this perspective, our objective is to outline the contours of this notion of memory discussed by the author. Therefore, our work was based on systematic theoretical reviews of the aforementioned author's works, seeking to carry out a debate and a critical reading of his productions. The results of the analyzes allow us to affirm that Foucault conceives a memory marked by the sign of difference and discontinuity, enlisting historical echoes retaken and reconfigured from one knowledge to another.

Sin embargo, creemos que existe otra modalidad de memoria que recorre los textos foucaultianos y, desde esta perspectiva, nuestro objetivo es intentar delinear los contornos de esta noción de memoria discutida por el autor. Por ello, nuestro trabajo se basó en revisiones teóricas sistemáticas de la obra del mencionado autor, buscando realizar un debate y una lectura crítica de sus producciones. Los resultados de los análisis permiten afirmar que Foucault concibe una memoria marcada por el signo de la diferencia y la discontinuidad, alistando ecos históricos retomados y reconfigurados de un saber a otro.Foucault realiza críticas sistemáticas a uma certa concepção de memória que, ao pensar a constituição dos saberes, atualiza uma dinâmica de continuidade histórica. No entanto, acreditamos que existe uma outra modalidade de memória que atravessa os textos foucaultianos e, sob essa perspectiva, nosso objetivo é o de tentar delinear os contornos dessa noção de memória discutida pelo autor. Para tanto, nosso trabalho baseou-se em revisões teóricas sistemáticas dos trabalhos do supramencionado autor, buscando realizar um debate e uma leitura crítica de suas produções.
