Resumo: This research objective was to report in detail the clinical case of a patient diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis, in addition to his hemodynamic treatment of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and the assessment of the risks and benefits of this less invasive procedure in comparison to open surgery and clinical treatment in elderly patients and other comorbidities. The progress of the research departed from the TAVI with subsequent patient monitoring until his discharge from the hospital, through medical records, the requested tests and the results of the operation, which were crucial for the severity disease; in addition to a compilation of data from pre-existing literature. Throughout this work, it is estimated the complete elucidation of the report, from diagnosis to treatment, including favorable conclusions on the effectiveness of the proposed procedure and details on the comorbidity in question.

Throughout this work, it is estimated the complete elucidation of the report, from diagnosis to treatment, including favorable conclusions on the effectiveness of the proposed procedure and details on the comorbidity in question.O objetivo do presente projeto de pesquisa foi relatar detalhadamente o caso clínico de um paciente diagnosticado com estenose aórtica (EAo) grave, bem como seu tratamento hemodinâmico de implante transcateter da valva aórtica (TAVI) e a avaliação dos riscos e benefícios deste procedimento menos invasivo em relação à cirurgia aberta e ao tratamento clínico em pacientes com idade avançada e demais comorbidades. O andamento da pesquisa iniciou-se a partir da realização do TAVI com posterior acompanhamento do paciente até sua alta hospitalar, através do prontuário, dos exames solicitados e dos resultados da operação, os quais foram determinantes para classificação da gravidade da doença; somado a uma compilação de dados de literaturas pré-existentes.
