RESUMOA motivação primeira deste trabalho foi a de mostrar de que maneira as Ciências Cognitivas podem exercer influências significativas sobre as teorias pedagógicas e, consequentemente, sobre a Educação. Para tanto, conceitua-se Ciência Cognitiva, discorre-se, brevemente, sobre sua história, comenta-se sobre a Neurociência, a Filosofia e a Filosofia da Mente, descreve-se o cérebro e faz-se um relato sobre o desenvolvimento de alguns temas importantes que podem exercer influência sobre as teorias pedagógicas.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Ciências Cognitivas; Pedagogia; Educação.COGNITIVE SCIENCES, PEDAGOGY AND EDUCATIONABSTRACT The primary motivation of this work was to show how the cognitive sciences can exert significant influences on the pedagogical theories and hence on Education. Therefore, it conceptualizes Cognitive Science, talks up briefly about its history, it comments on Neuroscience, Philosophy and Philosophy of Mind, describes the brain and makes a report on the development of some important issues that can influence pedagogical theories.
