Entrepreneurial intention and academic training: a study with academics of administration in a public institution

Resumo: | The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of academic training on the entrepreneurial intention of the administration students from UEPB of Patos-PB. Characterized as a qualitative, participatory and descriptive research, the present investigation had its data collection conducted by a semistructured interview protocol with 21 (twenty one) administration students. The analysis of the results was based on an analysis of the content from which four categories emerged, from which it can be concluded that the administration students have entrepreneurial characteristics, but even with this entrepreneurial profile, some prefer not to follow in the area, others are already entrepreneurs and others have the will. Regarding the influence of the academic formation in relation to the entrepreneurial intention, the research presented a positive result, since the course exerts influence for the entrepreneurial intention, however, for those who have the entrepreneurial spirit and the preparation that the course offers to undertake did not obtain a relevant result, since it left to be desired in the feeling of relating the theory with the practice. |

Caracterizándo se como una investigación de enfoque cualitativo, participativo y descriptivo, la presente investigación tuvo su recolección de datos realizada por un protocolo de entrevista semiestructurada con 21 (veintiún) estudiantes del curso. El análisis de los resultados se basó en la encuesta de cuatro categorías, que se puede considerar que estos estudiantes tienen características empresariales, pero incluso teniendo este perfil, algunos prefieren no seguir en esta área, otros son empresarios y otros tienen la voluntad. En cuanto a la influencia de la formación académica en relación con la intención emprendedora, la investigación mostró un resultado positivo, porque el curso influye en la intención emprendedora, pero para aquellos que tienen el espíritu emprendedor y la preparación que el curso ofrece para emprender. no obtuvo un resultado relevante, ya que dejaba algo que desear en el sentido de relacionar la teoría con la práctica.Desenvolve-se o presente estudo com o objetivo investigar a influência da formação acadêmica na intenção empreendedora dos estudantes do curso de Administração da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba, no Campus de Patos-PB. Se caracterizando como uma pesquisa de abordagens qualitativa, participante e descritiva, a presente investigação teve sua coleta de dados conduzida por um protocolo de entrevista semiestruturado junto a 21 (vinte e um) alunos do curso. A análise dos resultados se deu a partir do levantamento de quatro categorias, das quais se pode considerar que os referidos alunos possuem características empreendedoras, porém, mesmo possuindo esse perfil, alguns preferem não seguir nesta área de atuação, outros já são empreendedores e outros têm a vontade.
