Virtual Learning Environments and Chatbot as facilitators of the Process of Teaching and Learning Biology

Resumo: In front of the information society, with the presence of digital natives, education undergoes major changes, with the need for new methodologies based on the reality of students and that provides them with autonomy. Virtual Learning Environments – VLE and Chatbots, for example, have shown good results when applied in the school context. In this sense, this study presents the application and analysis of the use of an VLE with an integrated Chatbot, as a tool for teaching and learning Biology.  From the integration of digital technologies in a hybrid teaching methodology, following the flipped classroom model, it was possible to contribute to the conceptual development of 52 students in the third year of high school, with the acquisition of skills related to the object of knowledge in Ecological Relations. From the analysis of the reports of students and teachers, it is possible to conclude that the technologies used provide the construction of knowledge and favor teaching practice, showing the need for further studies in order to improve, expand and disseminate the technological tools used in the Brazilian school context.

Los Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje - EVAs y Chatbots, por ejemplo, han mostrado buenos resultados cuando se aplican en el contexto escolar. En este sentido, este estudio presenta la aplicación y el análisis del uso de un EVA con un Chatbot integrado, como herramienta para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Biología.  A partir de la integración de las tecnologías digitales en una metodología de enseñanza híbrida, siguiendo el modelo de flipped classroom, se pudo contribuir al desarrollo conceptual de 52 estudiantes de tercer año de bachillerato, con la adquisición de competencias relacionadas con el objeto de conocimiento en Relaciones Ecológicas. A partir del análisis de los relatos de los alumnos y de los profesores, es posible concluir que las tecnologías utilizadas facilitan la construcción del conocimiento y favorecen la práctica docente, mostrando la necesidad de nuevos estudios para mejorar, ampliar y difundir las herramientas tecnológicas utilizadas en el contexto escolar brasileño.Frente a sociedade da informação, com a presença dos nativos digitais, a educação sobre grandes mudanças, com a necessidade de novas metodologias pautadas na realidade dos alunos e que lhes propicie autonomia. Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem – AVAs e Chatbots, por exemplo, têm apresentado bons resultados quando aplicados no contexto escolar. Nesse sentido, este estudo apresenta a aplicação e análise do uso de um AVA com um Chatbot integrado, como ferramenta de ensino e aprendizagem de Biologia.  A partir da integração das tecnologias digitais em uma metodologia de ensino híbrido, seguindo o modelo de sala de aula invertida, foi possível contribuir para o desenvolvimento conceitual de 52 alunos do terceiro ano do ensino médio, com a aquisição de habilidades referentes ao objeto de conhecimento em Relações Ecológicas.
