Resumo: | Introduction: Physical Education is an important field of teaching and learning, it uses content that contributes to the development and social formation of the student, providing opportunities for experiences that help in the formation of reflective critical thinking, respect and cooperation. Objective: Show the contribution of Physical Education in the individual's social formation. Methods: The study is characterized as a systematic review. To prepare the systematic review, a search was performed in the Scielo and Lilacs databases, including articles based on the inclusion criteria. Results: 56 articles were found in the first search phase. In the follow-up, a previous analysis of the articles found was carried out using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in only 3 articles included in the study. Conclusion: Physical Education has a relationship between the knowledge dealt with in class and understanding in multiple social dimensions. However, for the full development of the student, the Physical Education teacher must be committed to the real role of the educational process in the school environment. |

Objetivo: Destacar la contribución de la Educación Física a la formación social del individuo. Métodos: El estudio se caracteriza como una revisión sistemática. Para la elaboración de la revisión sistemática se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos Scielo y Lilacs, incluyendo artículos en base a los criterios de inclusión. Resultados: se encontraron 56 artículos en la primera fase de la búsqueda. En el seguimiento se realizó un análisis previo de los artículos encontrados utilizando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, resultando que solo 3 artículos se incluyeron en el estudio. Conclusión: La Educación Física tiene relación entre los saberes tratados en clase y la comprensión en múltiples dimensiones sociales. Sin embargo, para el pleno desarrollo del alumno, el profesor de Educación Física debe estar comprometido con el verdadero protagonismo del proceso educativo en el ámbito escolar.Introdução: A Educação Física é um importante campo de ensino e aprendizagem, utiliza-se de conteúdo que contribui com o desenvolvimento e a formação social do aluno, oportunizando experiencias que auxiliam na formação do senso crítico reflexivo, respeito e a cooperação. Objetivo: Evidenciar a contribuição da Educação Física Escolar na formação social do indivíduo. Métodos: O estudo caracterizar-se como revisão sistemática. Para a elaboração da revisão sistemática, foi feito uma busca nos bancos de dados Scielo e Lilacs, sendo incluso artigos com bases nos critérios de inclusão. Resultados: Foram encontrados 56 artigos na primeira fase de busca. No seguimento foi realizada uma análise previa dos artigos encontrados empregando os critérios de inclusão e exclusão resultando em apenas 3 artigos incluído no estudo. Conclusão: A Educação Física possui uma relação entre o conhecimento tratado nas aulas e a compreensão em múltiplas dimensões sociais.
